As a 'wannabe' beauty guru / blogger / youtuber (maybe, just maybe...) I do have a lot of hopes for the future, as do many other bloggers or youtubers, and at some times, it can all seen a little bit overwhelming and too good to be true. I know a lot of beauty bloggers who have stopped what they were doing because they became bored, or didn't have enough time, or had just lost interest in that topic all together. And I know there are people in the world that are much more experienced in makeup than most of the world are, which doesn't exactly make us all geniuses, but I say if you want to do it, whats stopping you? I want to be reading this post back when / if I make more posts after this, and if i can eventually start making videos, then i want it to be a success, as do all beauty bloggers in the world!
At the minute, I feel like a small little 'piece' of the internet, that wants to become bigger; but because there are many other amazing blogs in the world, this can be very difficult to even imagine anymore. For example, I look at people like Zoe Sugg. Everyone knows her, all because on one evening, she decided to start a blog. She kept it going, and look where she is now? She has a GORGEOUS boyfriend, amazing new youtube friends, a lovely house, mountains of makeup, clothes and money, and to top it all off, shes happy. We all want our blogging journey to be like Zoe's. We want to try out different products, meet new amazing friends, go to Playlist Live, travel the world, be on the covers of magazines, and I say that if you are a newbie, and you're just starting out like me, or even if you are an experienced blogger and you're reading this (which would be highly unlikely but hello anyway), this can go 2 ways. We can either:
- Enjoy the time we have blogging. Take photos, decorate your blog to make it look stunning, meet new people, comment positive things, and overall enjoy the concept of beauty. We don't stop writing new posts, and maybe do an occasional YouTube video, be daring and happy about life. OR...
- Give up all together, go back to testing makeup products in front of a mirror wishing you could say all the things you were thinking about this product (because your knowledge is so wide) and miss an amazing opportunity of all the things i mentioned above, all because you couldn't be bothered.
No one knows how much your journey could improve, so why let your self down and quit before the fun has even begun? I know I'll keep this blog for a LONG time, and I am hopeful to do some YouTube videos while I'm at it, so lets all do it together and conquer our quest to being the best beauty blogger there ever was :D
I know there's probably not alot of people reading this right now, but if there is, and you have a blog, DON'T GIVE UP! And if you're reading this and you don't have a blog, if you're passionate about something, I'm urging you to start one right this second, because no one knows what the future holds!!

Great post Paige. It's important to keep going with blogging, not all blogs are going to be big like Zoes but they are still great ways to make friends and express ourselves.
ReplyDeleteGood luck in your blogging journey.

This post was so amazing - I was just reading a Buzzfeed thing on Zoe and yes, it is true.. we all wish we could have a similar exerience to her. She is after all, the main reason I started blogging way back when - before she was so famous today. I loved her right from the start.
ReplyDeleteBut - we have our own journeys to enjoy with blogging. We should embrace that and stop trying to dream of someone else's!
Lovely post!
Thank you for writing it xxx
